Note the Mayor Cr. Martin standing in the front doorway of the tram wearing a cap and a conductor's bag. Has a caption "Inauguration New Rolling Stock (1935) - Official Party", which has been adhered to the bottom of the photograph. Uniform - Cap, Commonwealth Government Clothing Factory Melbourne, 1950's
3044.1 SEC (Geelong) Motorman/Drivers/Conductors cap - green cloth exterior, grey cotton interior lining, brown leather internal hat band, black cotton hat band on exterior. Black plastic peak fitted with cap or with four holes for the employee badge number in the centre of the cap above the hat band. Sewn on the inside is a label "Commonwealth Government Clothing Factory Melbourne" and stamped "7 3/8". The plastic band at the front half of the cap terminating in two small SEC metal buttons on either side is not present. The holes for this are not visible - may not have been present on Geelong caps? 3044.2 - two small SEC Button badge - nickel plated silver with "Stokes" "Vic" stamped on rear. See also Reg. Version prior to the introduction of Pensioner fares.3045.1 - Printed form titled "Trip Way-Bill" of the SEC, Electricity Supply Department, Provincial Tramways, on thin off white paper. Gives value of tickets up to 7d, City 2d, Pensioners 2d and 3d and parcel stamps of 4d. Has space for the Run No, Conductor, Day, Date , route time and tram no. Able to be used on both sides of the sheet. Has sheet or print number of TYE 1-250 3045.2 - Photocopy of the same form with fares up to value of 1/-c, three city tickets, no pensioners and parcels of 6d. Original form to Bendigo Tramways. Under sheet number of TYE 1-250, has date of (R6/63). 3045.3 - similar to 3045.1 - but different TYE number and differences in font etc. While fare denominations to max value of 7d, has does not have City and Pensioner fares - used prior to the introduction of these fares - 1/11/1955 to 1/7/1958. Set of 9 colour laser printed images of a Bendigo Tramways (SEC), ticket manual or ticket instruction sheets issued by the SEC c1937. Details the methodology of the ticketing system. Original sheets in poor order forwarded to Bendigo Tramways June 2005, contained within Zetta Florence foolscap size polypropylene enclosures, along with a set of the colour laser prints. All tickets printed in black ink, and the word "cancelled" written across the face of the ticket in red ink unless noted otherwise. Sheet 1 - not received at time of donation. Twelve page booklet, plus medium weight card covers. Book cover has title "Electric Tramways of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria Amendment to By-Law January 1962". Pages are numbered pages 1 to 9 amending the 9/3/1937 By-Laws. Used to revise fares, parcel and luggage and charter rates in for Bendigo and Ballarat from 1/3/1963. Page 1 gives a list of amendments by date to the original by-law of 9/3/1937. Defines Pensioners and Child fares. Booklet dated January 1962, SEC Sealed the document 18/1/1962, Governor-In-Council approval granted 15/1/1963 and came into force 1/3/1963. Issued to crews and then checked by clerks. The last Revenue Journal printed - fares as the system closed in 9/1971 in Ballarat.Printed form titled "Revenue Journal", for recording the value of tickets sold by Conductors. Headed - "Provincial Tramways". Has value of tickets up to 18c, parcel tickets of 13c. Gives the opening and closing number of tickets or checks issued to the conductor, check returned by conductor, total number issued, value, returned by conductor, cash returned, decimal currency, space for hospital vouchers and area where signed by conductor. Has City and Parcel tickets.Printed form titled "Trip Way-Bill" of the Provincial Tramways, on off white paper. Gives value of tickets up to 18c and parcel stamps of 13c. Has space for the Run No, Branch, Motorman/Conductor, Day, Date , route time and tram no and space for Inspectors Initials. Able to be used on both sides of the sheet. Gives details with an index of the rules for Motorman, Conductors and both types of employees together. Has an "Issued to" form inside the front cover - no entries. Has printer details on inside title sheet and on rear sheet and print stock details "FTY 18-8,-6475 on inside front only." 3068.1 - As above, but printed in 1943 - FTY 18-8.F1927/43. On inside of front cover has a list of Route Numbers for Ballarat - see image 2, and marked as issued to R. Courtney. The government printed H.E. Daw. Added 19/1/2007. See Reg. 1260 for March 1948 version and 9534 for another versions with By-Law 1 inserted as part of the item with a 1940 date. Yields information on particular items and operations. SECV - 1d Section Ticket - pink card with a cancellation hole through the ticket. Has letter A on the left hand side of one face, details of where it could be used, number FTY 20-99 on reverse side along with price. Sold in strips of 12 for 1/-. SECV - 1/6d Weekly Ticket - orange card, with green colour printing. Has word "Cancelled" written across face of ticket in purple pencil. Headed with SEC details, punch marks for day of week on the sides, in and out directions.
