The former bluestone Bulla Shire Hall building was constructed in 1867 and remained the centre of local government until the early 20th century when the administration was moved to Sunbury. In the 1990's the Alister Clark Rose Garden was established in the surrounding grounds. The garden is open to the public all the year round. In 1999 the rose garden was officially opened.A coloured photograph of the front elevation of the original Shire of Bulla offices. It is a bluestone building, double fronted with a pitched roof on both wings and above the porch. The woodwork trims have been painted in cream and red. The double wooden front door is painted red. The Diamond Valley Community Hospital was established in 1942 in Grimshaw Street Greensborough. This album records the redevelopment/building program in 1990-1991, and includes functions such as 'Turning the Sod' and many photos of buildings under construction. Due to financial circumstances, the hospital closed in 2000. This collection of photo albums is from the 1990s and was collected by staff. Photographs include staff, patients, buildings and functions held for the hospital. Photographs are not named. Albums may be accessed at the GHS Resource Centre. This volume is numbered 6. As the Diamond Valley Community Hospital is now closed, this collection of albums records some of the people involved. The namesake of Merri-bek City Council’s Counihan Gallery, his experiences of unemployment and poverty during the 1930s, and his lifelong involvement in protest movements, inspired his powerful and prolific images of the working class. The Wrangler was a magazine issued during WW2 in Western Australia with proceeds going to W.A. Prisoners of War. The magazine contained stories, jokes, poems etc and were mainly contributed by readers. The readers seem to be mainly from an industry factory most likely in armaments.Small 16 page magazine stapled together on cream coloured paper.
