A programme for a Legacy Demonstration at the Melbourne Town Hall on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th October 1969. Throughout the year Melbourne Legacy provided classes for Junior Legatees such as dancing, gymnastics and eurythmics, the Demonstration was an annual event to showcase their skills. Melbourne Legacy conducted Annual Demonstrations / Parades from 1928 through to the 1980's, usually held at Melbourne Town Hall or Olympic Pool Stadium. Bill Smith & Ray Membrey both aged 93 on visit to Stawell Historical Society Sept 1989. Photograph taken in Stawell's old Court house. Ray Membrey is on the left in the photograph with Bill Smith, both 93 years old. These gentlemen made a visit to Stawell in September before enlisting as service men in the first World War. Ray's family lived in Skene Street Stawell. Ray's father had a blacksmith business in Patrick St. Stawell. Bill's family lived for some time at the Pleasant Creek Court House. c 1912 -20.
