Signed by Theo(?) Daniel and David Phelan, Directors, and by Charles Barrett, Secretary, dated 27 April 1898. Cream coloured paper with printed green border, purple printing. "BUNINYONG" printed across top and bottom borders, and "VICTORIA" printed on left and right-side borders. No. of issue 114. Certificate crossed in red ink top to bottom, with words "Issued as Fully Paid Up" handwritten in red ink. Serrated left edge of certificate suggests it was detached from a booklet or form. 'Form of Transfer' printed on back of certificate shows that the share was transferred by Charles Barrett to Nora Burnside of Linton. Part of a photographic record of Buninyong township. The buildings range from 1960s back to 1896, 1887, 1866, to a remnant of 1855, hidden within the shop of D. Brown electrician, consequently reflecting much alteration and change when compared to earlier photos.The streetscape is of historic significance, recording the detail of the streetscape in 1993. The red brick building has bluestone foundations, cast iron lacework verandah trim, high ornate gables, slate roof and unusual round brick chimneys with spiral brick decorations.Historically significant brick home built c.1860 for Mr Newman.
