Inspector's Cap - MMTB - green cloth exterior, brown cotton interior lining with black leather pad on the inside, black leather internal hat band, black cotton hat band on exterior with a black cord at the front half of the cap terminating in two small MMTB gold metal buttons on either side, black plastic external peak and green on the inside of the cap. Hat band has two gold bands or braids around the outside of the cap. Has a manufacturers lable inside the cap - made by Mountcastle Pty Ltd of Melbourne St South Brisbane. Set of four driver / conductor traffic numeral badges or personnel employee numbers and one brass MMTB button. .1 - Badge number, MMTB style, "1453", plated brass to give a gold finish with the numbers fixed to a bar top and bottom and two lugs on the rear to clip into a cap. Made by Stokes and Sons Melbourne - has been stamped onto the rear. .2 - ditto - engraved into a layered plastic backing - black plastic with a white underlay, used by tram crews to indicate their assigned personal employee number. Later MMTB prior to The Met type. Two large - 22mm diameter and two 15mm dia. Received in a small envelope with information that they were issued by the Interim Tramway Board. The Union commenced as the Australian Tramway Employees Association in 1910. Changed its name in 1934 to the "Aust Tramway & Motor Omnibus Employees Association" so as to incorporate bus drivers of motor omnibuses. Became part of the Rail Transport Bus Union in 1993. See reference. Union members were issued with badges to indicate their membership. They were permitted to be worn on their uniforms. Set of destination indicator equipment that was fitted to Z3 and A class trams. Each item consists of various electronic parts contained within a metal case that could have been cabled together. Equipment manufactured by (Carl) C. Brose of Wuppertal Germany and maintained by Font Electronics of Melbourne - some items have the manufacturers details on them along with the details of the maintenance company and serial numbers etc. Photo .1 - shows the set of equipment as placed on display in the training room. .1 - set of two route number boxes, three individual controlled blinds, driven by a motor and control gear. Negligee set or Wedding trousseau for the marriage of Charlotte Edith (Tottie) Ryder (aunt of donor) to Alfred George Tooke (b 1898 England d 1998) held at Church of England, Thornbury on 13 March 19481948 negligee set comprises two pairs of knickers, camisole, bed jacket, petticoat, nightgown. All items are cream coloured satin with appliqued coffee coloured lace. One pair of knickers has appliqued coffee lace encircling each leg with a hand-worked buttonhole and is missing a button. Second pair of knickers has appliqued lace floral design on each leg with an elasticised waist band and a plain band on the legs. Camisole has coffee coloured lace along the top edge and rouleau style shoestring straps. Bedjacket is short with long sleeves and a front fastening with four self-covered buttons and rouleau fastenings. Coffee coloured hand appliqued lace is around the neck and along the bottom. The shoulders are padded. The petticoat has coffee coloured lace around the hem and yoke. It has rouleau style shoestring straps. The nightgown is long with a coffee coloured lace Vee front. Lace peplum top has short sleeves with twenty-three cream coloured rouleau loop buttons and a lace bow at the sacrum. It is edged with a net frill. 1. This is a small white seashell. It has been "dotted" with various colours of paint. Glued in the centre is a RAAF badge with outstretched wings. The rear of the shell has been filled in with some sort of adhesive - set into adhesive is a small safety pin for mounting. 2. Small brown button. It has an 8 pointed UK Star with a crown on top.
