Sold Evans Street house & opened a wine shop in High Street, Prahran for several years. Couldn't buy house in Evans Street back so moved to Williamstown. In the 1930s the single storey structure was demolished after a fire and replaced with a double storey Art Deco red brick building, which still stands on the same site.At one stage there were four hotels in Evans Street between Station Street and Brook Street. At some stage the Millett family owned them.
