Clothing. Pink silk woman's bed jacket with set in short sleeves. Sleeves are trimmed with inverted V shape coffee coloured lace edging and a bow of 1cm double sided ribbon of pink and light green. Front opening with V neckline. Neckline edges of front opening and hemline trimmed with inverted V shape coffee coloured lace (7cm deep). Front fastened below neck line with double bow of double sided 1 cm ribbon in pink and light green. Embroidered patterns of blue flowers with pink trailing vines and leaves at the top front LHS below the shoulder and lower front RHS above the hem. The century-old paintings of Bendigo gold mines made the long journey home from Western Australia in 2012. The paintings of the Great extended Hustler’s Mine, Bendigo, and Koch’s Pioneer Gold Mine, Long Gully, were painted by C.G Robertson in 1901.For years the paintings sat in the Perth house of Charles and Grace Strue; however Ian and Katinka Napier, the grand-daughter of Mr and Mrs Strue, donated the paintings to the Bendigo Historical Society.DVD. Personal diary of Dr F.J Browne. Donated by Grace Cuthbert Browne, wife of Dr Brown. The original diary would have had a small pencil attached. Francis James Browne died in Sydney 1963. He had a long career in obstetrics and gynaecology. Summary of appointments include: General Practice in Wales, Maternity Department of the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, 1st director of obstetric unit, University College Hospital London. Retired and continued postgraduate teaching in London and NSW. Married to Grace Cuthbert, who was director of Maternal and Baby Welfare in NSW. A collection of objects found amongst Professor FJ Browne's papers were transferred from the Archives to the Museum collections in January 1994.Personal diary. Small navy blue hard cover bound diary with "1940" in gold lettering on front cover. Inscription on front page, "F.J. Browne/ 8 Downing Street/ Cambridge". Pencil/loop holder attached to back cover. This gown was worn by Ellen Harvey Cundy (1857--1939) on her marriage to Thomas Davenport Wood on January 23, 1878. It was the first marriage at St. Paul's Church of England, Clyde Street, Myrtleford. The gown was made by the bride's mother, Marrianne CundyThis is the first bridal gown to grace the former timber church building. Both the Cundy and Wood families were prominent locally, having settled at Waterloo/Barwidgee Creek/Myrtleford area in the 1860s. THOMAS WILLIAMS WAS BORN IN REDRUTH CORNWALL IN MARCH 1850, THE SON OF THOMAS MORCOM WILLIAMS (A MINER) AND GRACE FAULL. THE FAMILY IMMIGRATED TO SOUTH AUSTRALIA IN 1851, ARRIVING ON THE OREGON AT PORT ADELAIDE IN NOVEMBER 1851. THE SETTLED IN THE COPPER MINING TOWN OF KAPUNDA. AFTER HIS PARENTS DIED IN 180/61 THOMAS WAS ADOPTED BY HIS AUNT HARRIET AND UNCLE HENRY ROWE. HE ACCOMPANIED THE ROWES WHEN THEY SHIFTED TO CLUNES IN VICTORIA GOLDFIELDS SOMETIME IN THE LATE 1860'S.ON OCTOBER 9 1873 THOMAS WILLIAMS MARRIED MARGARET WILLIAMS HAWKEY AT CLUNES AT TEH HOME OF HER PARENTS. MARGARET WILLIAMS HAWKEY WAS BORN IN THE PARISH OF TYWARDREATH ST. AUSTEL CORNWALL ENGLAND ON MARCH 14TH 1851. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF SIMEON HAWKEY AND ELIZABETH HAWKEY (NEE KNIGHT). MARGARET IMMIGRATED TO VICTORIA IN 1866 WITH HER MOTHER AND THREE SIBLINGS. SHE JOINED HER FATHER WH HAD IMMIGRATED THREE YEATS PREVIOUS. THE HAWKEYS HAD A STORE IN CLUNES.
