Tram decorated with standard Christmas decorations, two large boards on the sides "see Myer Toyland Second Floor" and "hey kids Meet Santa at Myer Bendigo" and on the front of the tram, the front panel has been painted with the words "Santa Special". The roof advertising panel has additional decorations. Photographed with the depot building in the background. Poster, South Melbourne Depot Crews, MTA - South Melbourne Depot crews, c1988
A3 size poster, photocopied with cartoon drawings of a MTA (Metropolitan Transport Authority) crew member and a passenger who waited 30 mins. for a tram and complaining. MTA crew member explains shortage of crews and blames MTA and Minister Tom Roper (Transport Minister at the time) - mid 1980's. On base of poster is "AUTHORISED BY THE WORKERS AT THE SOUTH MELBOURNE DEPOT". Photograph was used on the front cover of the 1989-90 Annual Report of the BTPS. Caption details "Tram 33 approaches Depot Junction in Wendouree Parade on a quite Winter's day. Newspaper clipping from The Courier, Ballarat, dated Saturday, 17 June 1972, titled "Ballarat Trams are on the Move". Reports on the move of tram No. 26 from the SEC Depot to the BTPS depot the previous day. Quotes Society Vice-president, Mr. M. Calnin. Took all day to complete the move on one of the trams. Three other trams had been moved to the loop during the afternoon. Has a photo of No. 26 at the Gardens Loop. Yields information about the delivery of bogie trams form Melbourne and that became No. 38Set of two Negative and Digital images of the Wal Jack Ballarat Negative file of ex MMTB No. 41, being lifted or lowered on jacks within the Ballarat tram depot. Tram still has the white war time black out markings on the bumper and the front dash panel. The tram became No. 38. .1 - Beams either being readied for lifting of after lifting. Not sure what the jack under the bumper is doing. .2 - another view from further back in the depot.
