Clothing. White fine linen fabric, trimmed at lower leg with a 2 cms wide cotton , brooierie insertion and a 12 cm wide frill of textured (?) fine linen or cotton lawn broiderie. The front waistband dips to a central 8 cm deep peak. Waistband at side seams, is 4.5 cm deep and back waistband is 10 cm deep at side seams, and the 11 cm deep at centre back. Two 1.4 cm covered buttons close the back waistband. The knickers have a gathered opening panel, called at the time a ''drop-seat'' or ''access hatch'' at the centre back. This panel has a 5 cm deep waistband, fastened at either side by a covered button, and a third button at the centre. These buttons are sewn to the back waistband, and the button holes are sewn, correspondingly on the gathered back. A drawstring tape is also threaded through the back waistband. A 6 cm wide gussett sewn from the crotch extends 23 cms long.Printed in fine black ink on back opening; D.S.R.F. No 11.costume, female underwear, victorian era knickers

Clothing. Dark navy,(Summer weight) pure wool, with sleeves, fronts, and back shoulders lined with a synthetic fabric, possibly rayon or polyester - this has a zig zag woven pattern in the fabric. One internal pocket inside right front. Padded shoulders. Two 8 X 19.5 cm pockets, with rounded corners. One smaller pocket-13 X 11.5 cm, also with rounded corners on the left hand breast pocket. This is embroidered with a sun and kangaroo, and a circular badge ennclosing a chain-like border, a crown, and the lettering BE and CG-probably indicating British Empire and Commonwealth Games. Also embroidered on the breast pocket a light and dark yellow/gold sun, with an orange kangaroo super imposed at the centre of the sun. Single breasted blazer. Three flat silver metal buttons, 2 cm diameter, at centre front, (shanked). Two 1.5 cm flat metal shanked buttons-one at each cuff. 17 cm deep vent at lower back.On inside right breast pocket ''WALSH'S'' and a crest. PURE WOOL. Some wear on label evident. Alec Pederick was born in 1902 and left school at 15 to work on his parents' farm at Wyuna, Kyabrum,Victoria. After receiving a sense of call he trained for the Methodist ministry and was appointed to his first parish at Zeehan, Tasmania in 1927. He was called to serve with the Methodist Overseas Mission in New Britain and New Ireland in 1929. He married Dorothy Clarke just before he left. After four years in PNG he returned through ill-health to Victoria. He was appointed to the Beaufort Circuit in 1933 and then in 1936 to the Methodist Home Missions Department. He was called up as an Army chaplain in 1942 and sent on active service in Papua New Guinea. He was discharged in 1944 and returned to the Home Missions Department. He was appointed acting General Superintendent in 1944 and then General Superintendent in 1946, a position he held until 1962. He also served as Director of the Federal Methodist Inland Mission for a time. He died in 1972.Set of 8 photos (F68-3 has two additional copies) of Rev. Alec W. Pederick L. Th. All six photographs were taken at approximately the same age - late middle age - while still General Superintendent of the Victorian Home Missions department. Mostly bald, bespectacled man wearing glasses and clerical collar and stock and dark suit. All B&W. F68-1 is a cutting from The Spectator. F68-2 shows Pederick looking directly at the camera, unsmiling. F68-3 shows Pederick smiling looking to the right of the camera. F68-4 and F68-5 were taken as he was seated holding a large, open folder of papers, looking at the folder in -4 and to the right of the camera in -5. F 68-6 shows Pederick standing outside in a garden or "the bush" dressed in clerical garb with an overcoat. He is holding what looks like a camera and he is looking away from the camera.All the photos except F68-6 have an identification by name (Rev. A. W. Pederick" and all bar F68-6 have also identified him as General Superintendent and F68-3-5 identify him as General Superintendent Methodist Home Missions. Demonstrates the Museum's ticketing systems and ongoing production of tickets.Block of 100 tickets - green ink on off white paper, with ticket number in green ink denomination 50c, headed Ballarat Vintage Tramway. On rear in green ink is an advertisement for the Tram Family Restaurant, corner Macarthur and Drummond St. North. The 100 tickets have been stapled onto a heavy brown cardboard back with a heavy metal staple and a small brown cardboard retaining strip at the top of the ticket. 2210 - A000001 to A000100 (The first block collected at the time of issue 6/3/1988) The tickets are in the style of the former State Electricity Commission of Victoria tramway tickets. Tickets in use as adult return fare from 12/3/88 to 30/6/91 and child return fare from 1/7/1991 to 1/11/98. Note last block issued 8/1/1991. Below the letter is an image of a roller with the name "Ballarat Electrical Tramways" written on it. .2 - Reproduction of a photograph of the roller pre 1936, working on tram track. William Henry Gray was killed when a large slab of rock fell on his head at the Clarence Mine, Eaglehawk in April 1902. He was only aged 32 and left a widow and five children. The family lived at Bracewell Street, Eaglehawk.Brown poster advertising a concert at the Eaglehawk Town Hall. Wednesday, June 4th.
