Page 6 features an article on the reopening of the Ballarat Tourist Tramway, on 1/2/1975 with a photo of No. 40 in Wendouree Parade. Negative Nos. N393 and N394 and black and white print made by a laser printer (stored in folder) of Bendigo tram No. 6 at Golden Square terminus. Tram has the destination of Golden Square. Has the Golden Square hotel in the background and an Age advertisement on the dash panel. Note the large overhead pan at the terminus. .1 - tram has arrived and the driver/conductor has place the pole on the overhead after turning the pole. .2 - Driver/conductor standing by front of tram. Date of photo on folder - 26/9/1962?? or 1 Jan 1963. A date on the front of the folder of 1/12/1959 is too early - tram has been painted with tiger stripes and fitted with dash canopy lighting. Same date on Ballarat folders as well - see negative number N392 etc. Crew member wearing a great coat - unusual for Bendigo on a new years day. Photo early 1960's. Original negative rescanned 24/5/2020 and image file updated.BE1 - Paper folder that contained the negative had "NR15A" in red ink, "BE1" in pencil, date stamp of "1 DEC 1959" on front and on inside date stamps "26 Sep 1962" and "26 Sep 1962". Printed black and white photographic postcard of Ballarat ESCo crossbench tram No. 19 at the intersection of Armstrong and Sturt St. travelling east along the north side of Sturt Street. Photo appears to be taken in the early days of tram operation - small destination box. Has the Ballarat Town Hall, the National Mutual Life building, Snows and other buildings on the south side of Sturt. St. Has a number of horse drawn vehicles in the image as well. Titled "Sturt Street, Ballarat" in bottom right hand corner". On rear of postcard, printed is the words "Post Card", areas for "Correspondence" and "Address Only" and in stamp area in a square "Kodak Australia" twice. Has a strong association with the day of the official opening of the Ballarat Tourist Tramway in 1975 and with Graeme Breydon.Yellow index board - printed as an "All Day Ticket" for the "Ballarat Tourist Tramway" - issued by the BTPS with space for the date to be written in and signature of the conductor who issued the ticket. Produced at the start of operations for the BTPS Dec. 1974 or Jan. 1975. Used until 31/10/1975 when next series of all day tickets introduced. Ticket used by Graeme Breydon, issued by A. Cook on 1/2/1975, the official day of opening of the Ballarat Tourist Tramway by the BTPS. Hand numbered "9" in the right hand edge. Sixteen page book with brown paper covers in addition. Pages printed on art paper with a red overprint on some pages. Titled "Nachod Signals", published by the Nachod and United States Signal Co. Inc, successors to Nachod Signal Co of Louisville Kentucky. Has a list of dates on page 2, of patents, the last being 5/2/1918. Has on the bottom of most pages "Nachod Spells Safety" Details the Nachod signals system, type CD with the details of the operation, elements of the system, signal layout, installation and wiring, trolley Contactors, signal aspects, relays, assembly on poles, ordering information, fuses, special designs and modifications, information in ordering, quantity and list of material, and specification details of the Type P on the last three pages.
