The collection of thirteen model horse drawn vehicles were carefully handmade by Mr Chas W Davis 1925 - 2002. He was a talented artist and saw doctor. This model of a horse drawn Small Wheel Lorry replicates the vehicle that enjoyed respect from the public during the 1880's and early 1900's. A model of a Small Wheel Lorry with a brown short two spoked wheeled wooden tray with low sides drawn by a cream coloured horse. The horse has reins and a simple noseband.There is a single seat and footrest at the front for the driver. The wooden shafts are to control the horse whilst working and they have a silver chain attached on each side. Kangaroo Flat Gold Mine Collection. Eight pages (photocopy) of information relating to the Flora Hill Mine, Flora Hill, Bendigo. On first page: 'Bendigo Mining N.L. Mine Information' First two pages contain a summary of the research undertaken by Bendigo Mining N.L. with six additional photocopied pages of annotated copies of mining records. The main Flora Hill Mine shaft 260 ft (79.2m) in Houlahan Street, near Brennan Park Swimming Pool. The Flora Hill reefs were worked from the late 1850's by open cut and shallow shafts, but very little has been recorded about these working or the gold obtained. The Flora Reef Co crushed 200 tons for a return of 25 oz in 1866, a grade suggestive of open cut operations.' The mine was re-opened in 1921, at which time Whitelaw wrote a report. These bobbins were given to donor by her aunt and were part of the set on which the donor learned to make Nine Pin edging when she was 8 years old. (approx 1911) 2 wooden lacemaker bobbins, decorated on ends with coloured glass beads attached with wire. Bobbin one has 4 red beads, 4 clear beads, 2 black beads and 1 white bead with green and red colour band. Bobbin two has 2 brown beads, 2 blue beads, 1 black bead and 1 clear bead.
