Photos taken at Preston depot, South Melbourne loop, Camberwell depot, Thornbury depot, Preston Workshop gates, Sth Melb. depot, Victoria Parade, St Kilda, Brunswick depot, Victoria Market and Kew depot. Single sheet of printed paper, collected from a magazine (p59/60) with two black and white photos of Ballarat and one colour of Bendigo. Photo 1 - 260mm long x 122mm high, photo of north east Ballarat from Town Hall, looking out to Black Hill. Photo similar to Reg. No. 102, but buildings on corner of Grenville and Bridge St has a Plume sign instead of a Mobilgas Ad. This indicates early to mid 1950's. One tram in loop in one in Bridge St. Also has a "Neptune" sign in photograph. Photo 2 - 195mm long x 75mm high - from north east corner of Sturt and Lydiard Sts looking towards Town Hall and Craig's Hotel. Photo includes SEC bogie at tram stop and the front end of bus travelling east in Sturt St. Photo 3 - 230mm long x 156mm high - colour printed photo of Pall Mall, Bendigo from west side (by Post Office), looking towards the Shamrock Hotel. Black and white photograph of Bendigo track cleaner/sprinkler and ESCo No. 9 at the Pall Mall tram stop just to the south of the Fountain at Charing Cross. ESCo 9 has been modified (See Kings Bendigo Tramways p54). Sprinkler car has trolley pole facing Golden Square, as has No. 9. Pole by the trams have signs "ALL CARS STOP HERE" and a "NO ROAD" sign. Photo shows four people standing by the front of a SEC bogie tram, number not shown, possibly 18, with an AETA special tour sign in the window. Negative No. 239 Two signs on the front panel, top reads "BENDIGO TRAMWAYS 1903-1953", the second a painted picture of a small digging for a gold mine with a miner and windlass, with "1903" and "1953" on either side. Two flags on either side of the panel as well. Copy negative scanned at high res 18/5/2020 and image replaced.
