Set of two colour prints of the presentation of the BTPS Raffle prize held during 1981 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the closure of the Ballarat Tramway System. 3095.2 was used as a black and white print on the rear cover of the 1981 - 1982 Annual Report. The caption read: "The Raffle: Secretary, Richard Gilbert, (RIGHT) receives the winning ticket from Mr. Ian Gilbert of Malvern Tram Depot and congratulates him on winning our fund raising raffle. The story follows the adventures of Amyas Leigh, an obstinate young man who decides to go sailing. He settles for a certain period in the Caribbean islands searching for gold and succeeds in making a little fortune. He then decides to go back to England by the time of the Spanish Armada, a sixteenth-century Spanish fleet that intended to invade England and overthrow Queen Elizabeth I for rivalry over colonies in the Netherlands, the Atlantic and the Pacific. Much of the novel describes the struggles between the two world powers, picturing the continuous naval battles that they engaged in. Amayas becomes greatly concerned when the Spaniards abduct his brother Frank Leigh as well as an admired local beauty named Rose Salterne. Furthermore, Amyas's life turns into a sad tragedy when he is further struck by a thunderbolt that costs him his eyesight. A vintage 1950's hardcover children's book with the title Champion Book for Boys printed in blue at the top of the coloured illustration showing a boy eating an orange with other footy team players in the background. It is bound on the left side with stained red tape. The back cover is plain grey coloured cardboard.The frontispiece coloured illustration inside depicts a man in a blue suit and hat looking surprised at two boys in school uniform holding a large colourful model of a Komodo Dragon, Ho-Ling, to be used in a parade. A vintage 1950's hardcover children's book with the title Bonzo's Annual printed at the top in green lettering on the front cover.There is a large coloured illustration of the dog Bonzo riding on a rocket above the town rooftops with a smiling full moon in the sky.
