Photos of a ceremony and wreath laying at the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne. It was part of the Golden Jubilee 50 year celebrations in 1973. (see also 00479). It is the same event when an Olive Tree of Peace was planted in the western lawn of the Shrine (see 00441 and 00442). The photos show a group of Legatees marching towards the Shrine behind a military band. The men were being led by Legatee Bob Risson. Book of 10 All Day Tickets, numbered A000001 to A000010 printed for the Ballarat Tourist Tramway, contained within an off white front heavy paper (front cover) and off white card back cover sheet, with a two staples on the left hand side. Each ticket is from a light yellow card stock, printed with green ink showing the month of issue on the sides and date of issue (1 to 31) on the top or bottom. Each ticket is numbered and has a perforated left edge to enable it to be torn from the book. Ticket punched by the conductor to shown the month and date of issue. On all tickets, just to the under the staple is a vertical heavy green band. Used from late 1975 until March 1986. Item collected for archives on at time of issue. Collected for Archives 30/6/2004. Group photograph of thirty-four Scouts, a leader (probably R.J. Poewrie) and an unknown male dignitary in their uniforms, lined up in front of a huge Union Jack. All of the Scouts are wearing the trademark Scout Hat – which given its four dimples were colloquially known as ‘lemon squeezers’. The leader is wearing a military-style uniform, which was not uncommon during this early period of Scouting. Placed in front of the Scouts are two drums and three bugles.
