Sets of SEC Provincial tramways pre purchase strip tickets (known in Bendigo as Section tickets) consisting of 6 No. 2d tickets (1/- worth), printed on green 210 gsm pasteboard and blind perforated at each ticket to enable them to be torn off and cancelled. Each ticket strip has the same ticket number. Form TYE 2-16. Each strip consists of 6 tickets, except .11, which is two tickets. Tickets availability printed on back of ticket - City and Section 2 or 2 3, between 2 and 3, or between 2, 3 and 4 or between 3 and 4. Not known when in use at time of cataloguing. Pre 1950's? Sets of SEC Provincial tramways pre purchase strip tickets (known in Bendigo as Section tickets) consisting of up to 12 No. 1d tickets (1/- worth), printed on 210 gsm orange pasteboard and blind perforated at each ticket to enable them to be torn off and cancelled. Each ticket strip has the same ticket number. Form TYE 2-15 See below for the ticket details of each strip. Each strip of 10 or 12 tickets has been folded in half. Nine Page photocopy of a Westinghouse manual for Westinghouse S6-A and S6-B Compressor Governors (often known as Beatle Back type). Includes cross sectional diagrams of both compressors, photographs, connection diagrams, and detailed descriptions. The descriptions include notes on the compressor, switch portion, regulating portion of the device, regulation and adjustments, setting of cutouts, installation and maintenance. Originally prepared by Westinghouse, Wilmarding PA, USA, 20/9/1916. Retyped by MMTB 5/1955 and provided to Warren Doubleday from Preston Workshops c1980. Copy contained within a stapled and bound manila folder with handwritten title on outside. 2nd copy added 9-6-2019 from the Melbourne Tram Museum - in a manila folder with a black binding. Demonstrates the Museum's ticketing systems and ongoing production of tickets.Block of 200 tickets - light red ink on off white paper, original denomination 5c, lettered A 163000 to A 163199, headed Ballarat Tourist Tramway and over stamped "50c" in black ink. The 200 tickets have been stapled onto a heavy cardboard back with a heavy metal staple.' Original block over stamped, A025000 to A0252000 added 30/6/2004. Collected at the time for BTM Archives. The tickets are in the style of the former State Electricity Commission of Victoria tramway tickets. Tickets originally printed for general use on the trams 1974. Later over stamped to act as 50c tickets to save printing new tickets. Tickets used as Adults, Children (return) and currently (2002) for children travelling one way. Seventy two page photocopied document within card covers and outer plastic covers with an additional introduction page between front clear plastic cover and card cover bound with a white comb binder. Book titled "Tramway Permanent Way" presenting a series of lectures by MMTB Per Way officers in 1928 at Hawthorn Depot. Contents in order: 1. Handwritten note from Chris Jacobson on Metropolitan Transit Authority of Victoria memo paper forwarding a copy to Warren Doubleday of the BTPS in Feb. 1988, with date received stamp at depot of 19/2/1988. 2. Photocopy of a memo on Metropolitan Transit letterhead from K. C. Painter dated 20/7/1987 to the Civil Engineering Design drafting staff forwarding a copy of the 1928 lectures to the then current staff. 3. Photocopy of a circular from J.P. Strickland, Chief Engineer to track inspectors, sub overseers, overseers and senior gangers advising that a series of weekly lectures on track work would be held at Hawthorn Depot commencing 23/1/1928. 4. Lecture notes: 1. Interpretation of Drawings 2. Alignment etc 3. Alignment continued and special work 4. The drainage system 5. Concrete 6. Rails and Fastenings 7. Welding 8. Timber 9. Demonstrates the Museum's ticketing systems and ongoing production of tickets.Block of 200 tickets - black ink on off white paper, denomination 10c, lettered A 177800 to A 177999, headed Ballarat Tourist Tramway. The 200 tickets have been stapled onto a heavy cardboard back with a heavy metal staple. The tickets are in the style of the former State Electricity Commission of Victoria tramway tickets. Tickets in use as child return tickets from 24/12/1975 to 1/11/75 and as child single tickets in 1/11/75 to 30/6/78. See BTM Fare Chart. Tickets in use as adult return tickets from 24/12/1975 to 1/11/75, child return tickets from 1/11/75 to 30/6/78 and as child singles from 1/7/78 to 1/11/80.
