Two part printed and perforated ticket, using red or orange ink on white paper with a gummed back. 3073.1 - 6d ticket - A46756 - red ink - used 1963 to 1965 3073.2 - 8c ticket - A005643 - orange ink - used 1965 to 1966 3073.3 - 10c ticket - A012401- red ink - used 1966 to 1969 The upper portion has a gummed strip on the rear, with price and ticket number printed onto the lower edge. The lower portion was retained by the sender, was to be initialled by the conductor, organisation name, "Parcel Ticket 13c", conditions of use, ticket number and a space where to be initialled by the conductor. The 1969 Schedule of Fares and Charges gives the conditions of the use of these tickets. See Reg. Item No. 704. Demonstrates timetable making.Twenty Eight page, white paper, saddle stapled booklet, titled "Electricity Supply Department - Ballarat Tramways - Official Time Table January 1939", numbered TYE 1-48-5918. Gives notes on the through routing of the tram service, how the clock style format works and that it operates from the Tramway Centre. Also details when extra services are run and times as specific points along the route. Pages 24 and 25 detail the fares and charges, page 26 - luggage, page 27 - section destinations for the various routes and page 28, notes recent reductions in electricity charges. Two copies held. In the worksheet file is the basis of an article that appeared in Feb. 2006 Fares Please! Titled "Traffic Inspectors Duty Rosters" and dated 30/9/1953 has rosters for (A) - four traffic inspectors - twelve week rotation and (B) for three inspectors - three weeks rotation. Prepared and printed by the SEC during 1965.Five page, foolscap duplicated document, stapled in two locations along the top edge, titled Forest City Signals, and dated 20-1-1965, giving details about the Forest City signalling system installed in Ballarat. Explains how the system operates, gives instructions, details of the system, location of the loops, trams following each other, power failure. Also gives details of how the Bridge St system operated and the switch at Grenville St. Gives instructions for running out of the depot. Gives description of system, the various means of what to do if the system fails - dated 2th January 1965. The Questions and answers concern the braking system. Regrettable incidents have happened. Issued 1965. Follows on from Reg item 261 an earlier version, but with less detailed instructions and no explanation.Two foolscap duplicated sheets titled "Special Order to Motormen (49/1)" giving instructions regarding 1) Responsibility (for trams), 2) Relief on the road, 3) Controller key, 4) Air brake handle, 5) leaving tram unattended with definition, general precautions, special precautions - such as parking the tram at Lydiard St North, parking trams at City Loop and 6) an explanation on the braking system at either end of the tram. Shows how the crews were organised in relation to their work and total times worked.Single sheet of off white duplicating paper titled "Rotation Roster S.134/ R.1 25/8/70". Printed by wax cut stencil or Gestetner method. Details the run number that an employee would do for a particular week and day of the week and the total hours mins worked that week. Has a number of pin hole in the corners and centrally showing that it was used on a board. Has minor changes in ink at the bottom of the sheet that lead to Reg item 2294. See also Reg. Thought to be used in final months of the tramway system. Also used by Ray Hall as a sheet of paper to write out the details of No. 9 run for Sundays as a reference document.Duplicated typed form, S.163, titled "Sign off cars at Depot - Weekdays", for signing off defects in trams that Motorman signed off when signing off at the Depot in Wendouree Parade. Form made out for weekdays, has date/time in top right hand corner. Has Run Number and Time in pre-printed, then space for car number, defects, motorman's signature, repairs made and Foreman's Signature. Some runs detailed twice.
