A certificate presented as an anniversary gift to Melbourne Legacy, recognising 50 years as commemorated on a postage stamp. Australia Post issued this postage stamp in 1973, on the 50th anniversary of the founding of Melbourne Legacy, September 1923. The stamp was produced in recognition of the outstanding work that Legacy has done in helping war widows and their families. The design of children playing within the silhouette of a hand, was done by George Hamori, an Australian graphic design artist (born 1918).The stamp was a reminder to all the people of Australia of the helping hand of kindness of Legacy, and the generosity of the people of Australia who have donated to fund the work that Legacy does.Pink and blue cardboard certificate with four 7c stamps affixed in top left corner. Yields information about the Ballarat tramway staff at the time of closure of the SEC operated system. Demonstrate framing of photographs.Framed Black and white photograph, mounted (partly loose) onto heavy card of the SEC Ballarat tram crews shortly before the closure of the tramway system in front of the depot building with three tramcars behind. Has a printed list of all employees or staff underneath. Titled "Ballarat Tramways Employees 1971". Frame - wooden, red stained wood with a painted gold coloured frame, glazed, with a cut cardboard piece on stippled paper. Rear backing sheet - brown leather type printed finish with a fold out section stapled to the rear to enable the photograph to be stood upright. Backing piece has been nailed to the frame. Model of Melbourne Restaurant tram No. 939 in a presentation cardboard box, made by Cooee Concepts Pty Ltd in China. Tram secured into the card box by two screws just behind the life guard. Dark green cloth enveloping two pieces of cardboard, joined together with the cloth, printed on the outside with the MMTB logo and the words "Melbourne & Metropolitan Tramways Board / EMPLOYEE'S PASS / 1947". On the inside, two pre printed pieces of off white paper have been glued to the cloth covered cards. The top card has been over stamped using a hand stamp machine with the Number "8478" and overprinted in purple ink " ' 47". Space for the name of the employee, occupation and for authorising signature of the Board Secretary has been provided. The bottom section details the conditions of use and space for the employees signature. Ticket issued to "L. J. Denmead", "Inspector" and signed by "R.A. Spencer"? as Board Secretary and signed by "Leslie Denmead". All entries made in black ink. These passes would have been issued as part of the conditions of employment. Christmas card made from white stippled cardboard with a serrated edge, folded centrally with a photo of Rx and R class locomotives on the front of the Adelaide to Melbourne Express at Adelaide Railway Station c1900. The train later became known as The Overland. The first two carriages are Mansard Roofed Carriages. The photo has been printed as an illustration and then glued to the front of the card. On the inside of the card is a Greetings message from the Council and Members of the South Australian Division of the Australian Railway Historical Society. Demonstrates the Museum's ticketing systems and ongoing production of tickets.Book of 10 All Day Tickets, numbered A001001 to A001010 printed for the Ballarat Vintage Tramway, contained within an orange colour front cardboard (front cover) and brown cardboard back cover sheet, with a single staple on the left hand side. On the front cover is stamped the first number of the ticket block. Each ticket is from a light yellow card stock, printed with green ink showing the month of issue on the sides and date of issue (1 to 31) on the top or bottom. Each ticket is numbered and has a perforated left edge to enable it to be torn from the book. Ticket punched by the conductor to shown the month and date of issue. On all tickets, just to the left of the staple has been printed with the Printers name and phone number. On the cover, the same information has been impressed on the cover as well, but no ink. Set of two photos of SEC Ballarat No. 34 in Wendouree Parade at Gardens Loop. Tram has destination of "Mt Pleasant". .1 - No. 34 at the loop, waiting to depart. Note the signs on the poles and the seats at the stop. .2 - No. 34 has departed loop and running south along Wendouree Parade - note the many parked cars and trees in the street. Kodak cardboard mount slide, taken by Peter Moses assumed Jan. 1969, dated only "Jan", but date lines up with Bendigo slides and type of numbering. Could be 1970. Demonstrates aspects of the SEC ticketing, governance and monitoring systems. The Pass or ticket could be issued to a SEC staff member to enable travel on the tramways while on business. Style remained very similar to the end of the tramways.Six blocks of SEC Provincial Tramways "Staff Ticket" and four individual tickets. Individual tickets printed on heavy dark grey (Grey 200 gsm card) with black printing. Ticket blocks consist of 50 printed tickets, with stubs, stapled with red cardboard covers. Each ticket medium weight card, on 210gsm manila coloured card and printed on black ink to give day numbers, monthly, week number, transfers and day of week, excluding Sunday. Numbered on right end of ticket. Stapled with heavy brown cardboard backing strip. Static number (1 - 7) on left indicate it may be the day of issue. On rear of ticket is the details of the ticket use, allowed passenger one return journey between City and section r 3, or between 3 and 6. Not available on Sundays. Form Number TYE 3-11. Note: 1. Demonstrates an aspect of tram operations and yields information about the accidents that some trams suffered and how this was presented following the reconstruction era by the SEC of the Ballarat Tramway system.Set of eight black and white prints of accidents to trams 16 and 14, mounted onto a grey light cardboard sheet. Each photo about 65 x 90. Marked as "Series D4" in ink. Produced by the SEC c1939/40 having the accident of 14. The tramcar body card shows it was repaired following an accident June 1939.
