Jack Dunkin Lutge was born 9/11/21 to John & Millicent Lutge of Elmhurt, Vic. At the age of 13 he joined the church Preaching Band as organist. He was encouraged to consider a call to the ministry of the Methodist Church, and he was ordained in 1950. Parishes were Beaconsfield (Tas.), Deloraine (Tas.), Woomelang, Ballarat, Euroa, Noble Park, Sandringham, West Brunswick. He married Marjorie Shepherd 17/5/1947, and they had a daughter, Meredith. He died in Myrtleford on 31/5/2014.Lutget is standing in ecumenical alb and blue stole c. 1982 at Noble Park where he was acting as relieving minister. Spinning Wheel
The wheel came in a container from Liechenstein - Anitque Export Establishment (P.O. Box 21 498, FI - 9493 Mauren, Liechtenstein). It came with a number of dressers and tables. The flax on the original bobbin was present when Mrs Fabb purchased the wheel. Mrs Fabb purchsed the wheel c. 1985-1990 from a secondhand/antique shop in Para Road, Greensborough, Melbourne. Craig Thomson. Statement to Parliament, 21 May 2012, 21/12/2005
Craig Thomson was a trade union official and subsequently a federal ALP parliamentarian for the seat of Dobell. After allegations of theft and fraud by Kathy Jackson, Thomson addressed parliament prior to the allegations being tested in court; he protested his innocence and highlighted what he believed to be a distinguished contribution to the trade union movement. The courts subsequently found Thomson guilty of fraud and theft during his time at the Health Services Union. The recording contains Thomson's address to parliament (above) that took place on 21 May, 2012.Relevant to the history and conduct of elected officials within the Health Services Union. James Tennyson served in the Army (VX96171) enlisting on, 23/01/1945 in North Melbourne, VIC before being discharged from duties with the 21 ARMY ORDNANCE DEPOT as a Army Non-Commissioned Private (PTE) on 12/12/1947. James Tennyson BENTLEY was not a prisoner of war. His next of kin is Christina BENTLEY. Frederick August Schleibs a 44 year old farmer of Wodonga enlisted in AIF 30 March 1916 and was allocated to 2nd Pioneer Battalion with regimental number 2972. En route to England he was hospitalised at Cape Town with injured knee. He was returned to Australia and discharged 27 October 1916. He reenlisted 21 February 1917 and sailed with 28th Reinforcements 8th Light Horse to Egypt. He returned to Australia following the war. Unusual to see a foreign coin used as an identity disc.Soldiers identify disc set connected by string; one aluminium and one a Portuguese 20 Reis coin. Both are stamped with information relating to 3383 Frederick Augustus Schleibs who served with 8th Australian Light Horse in World War One.On aluminium disc "A F Schleibs / 3383 / 8LH / CE", and on reverse "Wife / Wadonga / Vic / Aust". The Inglewood RVIB Auxiliary was formed on March 21, 1957 and concluded February 14, 1998. It was noted that a collection of books, badges, receipt books etc would be forwarded separately after the notification of the closing of the auxiliary, however as yet these have not been located. The members were saddened with the loss of their President Mrs Jean Catherine Appleby in 1980, who was killed in a car accident and Mrs Myrtle Bradley was then appointed as the new President. G. E. Duncans Cup (Cup) Donor: Deed of Gift: No The trophy was originally donated in 1930/31 and was won by the 21-footer yacht Corella owned by G. E. Duncan. The trophy was not used until 1960/61 when it was used for the annual race from RBYC to Mornington on PHD handicap. Horrie Petley Memorial (Tray) Donor: Deed of Gift: Horace (Horrie) Petley was an honorary life member of RBYC joining the club in 1887, later retiring from active racing aged 78 years. During these years he raced in many well-known yachts such as Ada, Sayohara, Galetea as well as the 21-footer class. He was also at one time the clubs’ Librarian. Pianola Rolls
Pianola roll is a music storage medium used to operate a player piano, piano player or reproducing piano. The roll moves over a reading system known as a tracker bar; the playing cycle for each musical note is triggered when a perforation crosses the bar. They have been in continuous production since at least 1896. These rolls are c1920s.Used and owned by a resident of the Kiewa Valley. An alternative form of musical entertainment in the home. The music itself is historic and an example of what songs were popular in the 1920s.Stored in 2 boxes. Box 1. Mastertouch Rolls = 21; Universal Song Roll = 1; Vocalsty Song Roll = 3; Gulbransen Roll = 3 Box 2. Mastertouch = 2; Unidentified = 18 Most rolls are in original cardboard boxes with labels on the end. Rolls in various condition. Most rolls intact. Rolls of paper end are metal or Bakorlite, paper rolled onto a cardboard core. Boxes are dark colours. They ore continuous rolls of paper with holes punched into them. Jonathan Harris operated a winery on the banks of the Axe Creek, Axedale in the 1850s.A camp oven 31 centimetres diameter. It has three legs on the bottom which are three and a half centimetres long, The pot is 25 centimetres diameter on the bottom 13 centimetres high and 30 centimetres diameter at the top, It has a partly curved lid which is three centimetres high and has a one centimetre wide and seven centimetre long handle on top. Single sheet colour calendar for 1983, published by the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), successors to the Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramways Board. Large portion of the calendar features the changeover from the MMTB to the MTA - eg green colours replacing the orange. Also on the base of the cartoon by Augustine is a number of caricatures of well known MMTB/MTA personnel. On top of the calendar has the letters M&MTB being demolished and those of the MTA being positioned. Printed on heavy cartridge paper.
