(a) - (w) - A tall, off white, ceramic pot with matching sugar bowl, milk jug, and eight cups and saucers. Two scenes, Westertoren and Montelbaanstoren are found on the sides of the body of the coffee pot. Scenes of Amsterdam are also seen on the other items. Two plates for serving biscuits or cakes both also with Amsterdam scenes complete the set. The edges of these are curved slightly upwards.Item 5140(v) has the words "Nieuwmarket met Waag" (Newmarket with Weighing House); the inscription on 5140(w) reads: "Waterlooplein", (Waterloo Square). On the bottom of some items the words "Viller and Bosch" appear.

It is also in very good condition. Woolen khaki jacket with button-up front. The top button is a plain brown plastic button. The lower four buttons are identical embossed dark brown metallic buttons. They depict an image of Australia in the centre with a crown above. Encircling this image are the words "Australian Military Forces". There is also a metallic clip at the waist-band and a metallic stud below the row of buttons. There are four button-up pockets on the front of the jacket. Two of these are breast pockets and the other two sit directly beneath these. There is also an interior pocket on the lower right section of the jacket. The lower right exterior pocket is missing its button. There is a spare button in the right breast pocket. All of these pocket buttons are of the same type as the decorative dark brown metallic buttons. There is also a spare unit patch in the bottom right pocket. The two cuffs are buttoned up with one decorative dark brown metalic button each. There are two identical brass badges on either collar. They depict a crown in the centre with the rising sun surrounding it and ribbons below with the words "Australian Commonwealth Military Forces". There are two identical brass badges on the shoulder edges of the epaulettes depicting the word "Australia". There are two buttons that fasten the epaulettes to the jacket near the neck which are of the same type as the decorative dark brown metallic buttons. There are two identical felt unit patches on either section of the upper arms. They have a light blue border surrounding a navy blue rectangle above a white rectangle. There is also a felt chevron just above the cuff on the right arm. This depicts three blue stitched arrows on a khaki/green background. There are also two labels stitched to the interior of the right breast pocket. Ther are two white rectangular labels that are stitched to the interior of the right breast pocket. These have inscriptions. Henry Richardson came from England in 1852 and this was his home from 1871 to 1888. His son Henry, better known as Harry, managed the property from 1888 until his death in 1926. The property was sold in 1932 and has been known as Old Barnawartha for over 140 years. The homestead exhibited no particular style, it looked like a Cornish Miner’s cottage, and appeared as if pieces were added on as the need arose. Prior to coming to Surrey Hills, he was a pharmacist in Newmarket (Ref: 1931 electoral roll). He and his wife, Ethel Sylvia Elizabeth Mitton (nee Stevenson) lived at 65 Union Road. They were married in 1933 and had 2 sons and a daughter. He was followed in the business by his son John and daughter Rosalind. Mick Mulqueeney was born in Kilmore and arrived in Wodonga in 1886, when it was Australia's greatest store cattle market. It was not unusual to see 10,000 cattle sold in a single day. For a few years he spent time overlanding large mobs of cattle from Queensland and the back country of N.S.W He settled in Wodonga and began business as a stock and station agent at Wodonga. He was the Wodonga representative of Edward Trenchard and Co, and other Newmarket stock agents but also conducted auctions on his own account. For several years, he was in partnership with Mr A. L. Wright. Following the retirement of Mr. Wright in 1902, Mick Mulqueeney then joined with Harry H Peck under the trade name of Peck Sons and Mulqueeney. This partnership was dissolved after about 10 years and Mick was bought out by New Zealand Loan. Later he continued in stock and station agency on his own. During this time, he also conducted a very extensive stock forwarding agency where tens of thousands of stock of all classes were shipped owing to the break of gauge from N.S.W, into Victorian trucks and vice versa. He was regarded by stock owners as a genius among stock. Michael also had a sound knowledge of land in the Wodonga district and when the settlement of returned soldiers onto the land was taking place he was appointed valuer of properties being considered by the Repatriation Department. Mick also became a Government stock inspector on the Victorian side of any stock crossing the border. At this time his forwarding agency was carried on by his son, Mr. Jack Mulqueeney.
