During the 1999 National Arthritis Week (NAW), the Amcal Chemist in Narre Warren South hosted an Arthritis Foundation of Victoria (AFV) poster display. In the early 1990s, the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria began to develop educational programs that would be more accessible to Culturally And Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. In one example, volunteer course leaders from the Vietnamese community were trained to deliver the course content in their own language. Participants learned some simple exercises for managing pain from arthritis in the hands and fingers.
