On the 27th of May, 1994, the foundation plaque of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's new headquarters was unveiled. Named the Percy Baxter Arthritis Centre, the official unveilling was conducted by the Premier of Victoria, the Honourable Jeff Kennett (1948-). Located at 263-265 Kooyong Rd, Elsternwick, the construction of the new building was nearing completion. The Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's new headquarters was officially opened on the 19th of October, 1994, by the Governor of Victoria, Richard E McGarvie. Named the Percy Baxter Arthritis Centre, the new building is situated at 263-265 Kooyong Rd, Elsternwick. In this photo, AFV CEO, Shirley Caulfield, addresses guests at the event. From the name badges, they are (L to R): Shirley Cornish - Vice President, Mavis Major - Committee Member, Illegible - President, and Pauline Thompson - Secretary.
