The Victoria Police Neighbourhood Policing Forum welcomed local services and community members to talk with police about what issues are important in the local community. The Neighbourhood Policing Forum was run by a Victoria Police panel and questions were taken from the audience throughout the event. Following World War II, Victoria Police began shifting away from British 'bobby' style uniforms. In 1947, a new uniform was introduced featuring navy blue woollen, durable materials. This jacket was woven and made at the Commonwealth Woollen Mill and Clothing Factory, Geelong.Navy blue worsted wool tunic-style policeman's jacket with four silver coloured buttons down centre front, stamped 'police-force Victoria'. Jacket has four stitched on pockets, with buttons, on front, an attached belt and is lined with blue material.
