Thomas Anderson (BD 30/06/1886) entered Ballarat College in 1903 as a 17yo. He was the son of J W T Anderson of Waubra and had previously attended Waubra SS VI Class. The Ballarat Old Collegians Association notes in The Minervan 1913 that "each year the Association presents to the College Sports committee the College Cups (Senior and Junior), the Old Collegians Cup and the Veterans Plate. Squat, double-handle silver rose bowl cup with fluted rim and silver stand; ornate floral engraving on bowl and stand; folding detail on handles. This file contains four items about the history of the church: 1/Typed letter dated 17/05/1977 from Mrs. C. Fergusson for the Murrumbeena United Church to accompany Item 2. 2/Four original copies plus a photocopy of ‘St. Giles Presbyterian Church Murrumbeena (An Outline of Sixty-five Years of Progress) 1890-1955’. These include lists of clergy, significant congregational members etc. One of the books is noted ‘Doble’ on the cover, as sent by Allan Doble in Item 3. 3/Handwritten letter dated 15/01/1999 from Allen Doble which accompanied one of the books at Item 2. This letter includes information on Dr Seymour, first Minister at St. Giles. Greenhalgh were produced by Stokes & Son, Melbourne to commemorate the Centenary of the School. The medallion was produced from copper base metal with a silver oxide finish and has been well received by past student, present students, staff members and the general public.
