2/Newspaper reprinted article from ‘News’ Shepparton, dated 19/07/1960 on the centenary of the start if Burke and Wills’ expedition mentioned the journey made by author William Howitt and his two sons, and about his book he wrote ‘Land, Labour and Gold’, and about son Alfred who became a scientist and later brought the remains of Burke and Wills back to Melbourne.
