On the 9 November 2002, the Bendigo Senior Secondary College presented a display of Police memorabilia to mark the opening of the refurbished Police Barracks. There were tours of the Barracks, displays and a Mounted Police display with horses. Building of the Police Barracks began in 1860. It included accommodation, mess room, kitchen and living room. Outhouses included lock-up, stables, toilets, storage and an officers house. It was decommissioned in 1939 and was later refurbished and used by the Bendigo Senior Secondary College.Newspaper article by Linda Barrrow date unknown.
