Memo dated 6/5/1918 about closing revenue accounts at Elwood depot when the end of the month falls on a Sunday. It would appear that the accounts were being closed off on the following Monday, rather than on Sunday. This has become a long-standing practice. These are two administrative record books from the Warrnambool Town Council which took over from the Warrnambool Borough Council in 1883 and existed until 1918 when it became the Warrnambool City Council. .1 Warrnambool Town Council letter book dating from 1904 to 1918 containing copies of letters written by the Rate Collector, Thomas Beattie .2 Warrnambool Town Council Contract Book dating from 1902 to 1909. The contract details include the name of the supplier or tradesman and the costs. Some of the contracts deal with the Corporation Baths, the Botanic Gardens and town tree planting. Set of four documents regarding the issue of a Scholar's Concession Ticket to Barbara Talbot, a student at the Star of the Sea who turned 18 years of age during the currency of the ticket. It was marked not available after that date and had been returned to the Elwood office. The Memo from the "Auditor of Receipts" requested that an additional payment be collected from the student. Mr Gleeson, Tramway Inspected advised that ticket was not used after the lady's birthday and had been returned.
