It provides information on military life, for example: morale, leave, rations, complaints, pay, discharge, rehabilitation; anything an Officer would need to know to provide practical help in regards to the welfare of his men.Staple-bound cardboard cover. Pamphlet issued to military personnel in 1920 to "impress upon the young Australian soldier the principle that prevention is better than cure" (from introduction). Each soldier had a copy and it had to be presented when required by the commanding officers, often during kit inspections.
