This hospital equipment was used in the Tawonga District General Hospital which was built in the 1950s specifically for the increase in population due to the Kiewa Hydro Scheme.Historical: Shows the development of scientific hospital equipment. Used for ironing clothes.This is an example of a domestic appliance commonly used before electricity connection was widespread.A metal iron enamelled in blue colour, with a silver coloured fuel reservoir shaped like a bowl.
