The life member medals have GACC Life Member inscribed on the pin bar and the logo of the GACC represented on the medal. The place getter medals have inscriptions of race place getters and the race events inscribed on them. These medals indicate the importance that the Geelong Cycling community placed on - and continues to place on its life members and racing placegetters. Medals in guilded metal, some in gold colour and others in silver to represent placings in races. Broach guilded in gold, blue and white metal. Russell Mockridge b1928 d1958 was described 'as the greatest cyclist of all time'.
