House built 1911 for James Carpenter as family home. Original front lawn of violets was venue for Violet Picking Days, around 1920 and 1930. Exterior now aluminium cladding. Built soon after WW11 by Fred Moore for Reg and Hazel Bulmer, post war contemporary style, named 'Camelot'. It is believed this house was situated at the New Works, the front room being used for church services. It was moved to Church St Lakes Entrance and in the early 1990's was bought by Val Northrope and moved to their property at Princes Highway. It was moved again to the Northropes property on Wards Rd Tambo upper in the early 2000's. House typical of four roomed fisherman's cottage of early 20th Century , was home of Harry Jemmeson, fisherman, wife Lulu and family. Daughter Edith was music teacher and amateur photographer. Originally named Long Acres then Green Acres when it was built in 1923/24 for Mr Eric Staughton by his father. Later named Livingstone House in 1950 when purchased by Hallett Sisters. In 1996c became temporary office for East Gippsland Shire. Built 1900c, cottage was made available for widow and children of Dougal Egan, lost when fishing boat Orme disappeared in 1909. After Mrs Egan married George South, cottage became known as the South House. Later resident Mrs Edith Rawlinson. Believed to have been built early 1900's. It was the home of Herb Nadenbousch when he was Assistant Post Master at Lakes Entrance. His wife operated a podiatrist business from rooms at the back of the house in the 1970's.
