A newspaper cutting "Past Lives Again" - The past will live again when the Bendigo and District branch of the Royal Historical Society of Victoria holds its Golden Days Exhibition at the Memorial Hall Next Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. many treasures of yesteryear have been resurrected from attics and storage chests. Among these the glorious royal blue silk brocade gown worn by Jennifer Wyatt. the frock was brought out from England more than 110 years ago by Mrs. Jonathan Harris of Axedale (her husband was the founder of the Hustlers' line of reefs in Bendigo). A metal pipe three centimetres diameter, 50 centimetres long has a cap screwed to the top which has a one centimetre diameter 13 centimetre long curved tube coming from the side of it. From the top of it a half centimetre diameter metal rod in a triangle six centimetres by nine centimetres by six centimetres pulls out and would have an attachment on to draw out the liquid. It has three legs on the bottom which are three and a half centimetres long, The pot is 25 centimetres diameter on the bottom 13 centimetres high and 30 centimetres diameter at the top, It has a partly curved lid which is three centimetres high and has a one centimetre wide and seven centimetre long handle on top. On the other end 14 centimetres is flattened to a width of two centimetres and half a centimetre thick, the last six centimetres is bent to 90 degrees and has a one centimetre square hole in it. The base has a four centmetres metal band around it that extends two and a half centimetres below the bottom of the tub. The bottom of the tub is an oval 54 centimetres long and 41 centimeters wide. The wall is 32 centimetres high with rolled rim half a centimetre wide on the top, it's made in two pieces that are folded together at each end. The top of the tub is an oval 70 centimetres long and 51 centimetres wide. There are identical metal handles at the top of the tub at each end, they are made of a one centimetre diameter metal rode, they have a nine centimetres long grip, a four centimetre piece at right angles on each end and a two centimetre long piece at the opposite right angle on the end which is inserted into a two centimetre loop that's attached to the tub. The head 67 centimetres across two centimetres wide and one centimetre wide. attached to it are 12 square tines that are one centimetre square, tapering to half a centimetre and are five centimetres long. It has some yellow paint on it. The wooden handle is 144 centimetres long and three centimetres diameter. Two thin strips of two centimetre wide thick wire have been added.
