These Department of Defence Minutes discuss the acquiring of photo Litho equipment for the Australian Survey Corps. It discusses the equipment and personnel needed to man a Photo Litho Section. The document is signed by TA Vance OC Australian Survey Corps and is dated 5 Feb 1940. LtCol Vance served in the Corps from 13 Jul 1915 till 9 June 1942. The next page discusses the costs involved. The last page describes a report on training abroad written by Lieut WM Sarll (Bill) who went on to be the first OC Land Headquarters Cartographic Coy when it moved to Fortuna Bendigo in 1942.
