Also on this port is a small pipe that can be connected to a water vessel. On the left side is a large inlet filter. 2. Bag - canvas. The bag is a drab olive colour with a nylon shoulder strap. On the back are a couple of mount straps. One side has a small pocket with a cord. The other side has a pocket with a "lid", held shut with Velcro and a press stud. The repeat of the 'BD' lettering in the classification signified that the vehicle was carried on bogie wheels. At the time the letter D was the letter code for Brakevans / Guard's Vans, but this was changed to C when the double-letter code was simplified in 1910. The letter C now being used to describe that a guards compartment was included in the bogie vehicle. On the narrow gauge, the vehicle numbers were retained. One day the guard's compartment will be removed and the vehicle returned to the classification of NB.
