In a black plastic storage folder there are two DVDs. One is titled Viet Nam Revisited Oct 04 & Nov 07 'Now & Ten' by Ian Ryan and the second is titled 'Vietnam photos 66-67. The cover of the folder has the title Vietnam Photo's 66-67 and there is a image of a black helicopter. The Comradeship committee gathered photos of events and compiled them in a Comradeship photo album for Legatees to look through. 01033.1 A photo of legatees seated around tables. The photos of Legatees in fancy dress have 23 April 1970 stamped on the back. Photo No. 1 - Junction Dam wall was commenced in February, 1940 and completed in March 1944. Type - reinforced concrete slab and buttress. Height 25.9m, and crest length 121.9m. Lewis Construction company had the original contract, but was replaced by the State Electricity Commission in 1942. Photo No. 2 - Bogong Village was the first village built to house workers and their families working on the Hydro electric scheme. Construction commenced 1940. The single men's quarters are slightly right of centre on the foreshore. In this photo, Vice President, Elva Renfrew, addresses members of the Association from the podium during the event. These two b/w photos of the lower section of Nicholson Street, Orbost have been taken of the same scene in 1989 and 1929, 40 years later. Viewed together, they show changes in the development of the town during that time. The top photo shows a few buildings, set amongst natural vegetation in the process of being cleared. The bottom photo shows a much more urbanised town.These photos are significant because they show the development of Orbost from 1889 to 1929. Two b/w photographs mounted onto brown cardboard which has been torn at the bottom right hand corner. The photos show buildings and roads.
