Address given by Dr Richard E. Hoover to a Rehabilitation Conference, held at Ormond Hall in February 1963. Collected by C.H. Nipper during his writing of 'The Past and the Present 1866-1971' (a history of the RVIB). Dr Hoover discusses the role of the ophthalmologist in rehabilitation for people with vision loss. The Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's new headquarters was officially opened on the 19th of October, 1994, by the Governor of Victoria, Richard E McGarvie. Named the Percy Baxter Arthritis Centre, the new building is situated at 263-265 Kooyong Rd, Elsternwick. In this photo, Governor McGarvie, Mrs Lesley McGarvie, and the AFV's founder and President, Rheumatologist Dr Leslie Koadlow, pose for a photo beside a bronze plaque commemorating the official opening of the new building. This photo appears on page 2 of the Vol 7 No 4, Summer 1994 issue of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's quarterly magazine, Arthritis Update.
