A green covered book with black lettering for the title, quotations, a sketch inside an oval shape of the Healesville Mechanics' Institute and Free Library and author on the front cover decorated with lined drawings of gum nuts. The title page has information of the Centenary of the original Institute building. The main title page has further information, including author, publisher. Opposite this page is a copy of the cover of the 1913 Mechanics' Institute and Free Library Annual Report and Balance Sheet to be presented at the Annual Meeting of Subscribers. These pipes came from the Warrnambool firm of Peter Hand Tobacco Company Pty Ltd and were typical of the pipes sold by that firm. The Peter Hand Tobacco Company commenced in 1958 and was a wholesale distributor of tobacco and cigarettes throughout the Western District until early in the 21st century when tobacco smoking was no longer a widespread habit in any community in Australia. The retail shop was at 97 Liebig Street Warrnambool. These pipes are of interest as they came from the Peter Hand Tobacco Company, a prominent business in Warrnambool for 50 years. They are also a memento of the times when pipe-smoking amongst men was prevalent. These are briar pipes with black Bakelite mouth pieces. A black speckled self textured covered Methodist Hymn book with tunes. It has a ribbon bookmark attached. The title is printed in gold lettering at the top of the front cover and spine. On the endpapers at the front is The Lord's Prayer printed inside a red ornate frame and opposite is the hymn, Gloria with music similarly framed. The back endpapers have the hymn music for Dorology and the prayer, Benedictions - both are framed in red lines. The edges of the pages are in gilt. At the back of the book there is an Index of tunes alphabetically arranged, a metrical index of tunes, composers and sources of tunes and hymns with tunes and metres, plus a list of ancient hymns and canticles. History of Clock Wandin North 8th Jan'y 1952. This clock was bought by the late Henry Sebire of 'Mont de Lancey' Wandin Yallock, at a clearing sale of Mrs Newey's at Seville about the year 1890; After his death in July 1902 the clock was given to his eldest son, one of his Executors, (Henry T. Sebire) of Ivanhoe, who died on 29th November 1935. On 6th February 1945 nearly 10 years later Mrs H. T. Sebire gave the clock to Wandin T. Sebire of Wandin North, who very much appreciated the gift. The clock was called for at Ivanhoe by Len Sebire, on 21st March 1945. Wandin T. Sebire. The clock was oiled and repaired by Mr Upton Watchmaker of Wandin North returned by him on 4th Dec 1951. Oiled again and returned 7th Feb. 1953.A tall narrow pendulum wooden wall clock with a white round clock face, with Roman numerals, elaborate fine hands and a brass pendulum enclosed in a glass faced compartment which has a decorative dark wood at the top. There are small clips at the top and bottom to open the case door. A brass key is stored inside the cabinet.This note was attached to the donation sheet. This photograph may depict Theodore Harcourt Herbert “Theo” Gray (1898-1979), a member of the Gray family. Theo was born in Seville, Victoria on December 21st, 1898 to the Gray family - a family with some local prominence in Wandin and Seville. Theo lived much of his life in the area - though his three years in the New South Wales Volunteer Defence Corps during WW2 indicate he might have spent time interstate - and died in Gembrook on June 12th, 1979. While clearly on a pine plantation, it is unclear exactly where and when the photograph was taken, though given Theo's residence nearby it may have been on the Nobelius property. Theo is too unclear in the photograph to determine his age; we estimate this photograph was most likely taken between the 1920s and 1940s, but this is only an estimation.This photograph captures the economically and historically significant forestry industry of the region in the early 20th century. Forestry, among other industries, changed the local landscape and brought economic opportunities to the region. This photograph shows some of the scale of that industry.This is a small black and white photograph on yellowing white, glossy paper with a black backing. The backing is damaged in places, with sections missing revealing the white paper behind it. The reverse has several pencil inscriptions, while on the front is one written in pen. There is a small margin of approximately 5mm between the photograph and the edge of the item. The photograph's foreground is filled with felled logs, entirely covering the ground. In the background, a man stands on the logs, with forest behind him. The scene appears to take place on a hill, sloping down to the right. In approximately 1934 Beryl Jacquier (nee Keenan) was given this pram. The pram was purchased in Melbourne and picked up by Beryl's uncle who brought it by train to Seville Station (in Killara). Beryl's mother, Una Keenan, was the post-mistress who operated the post office from her home which was next to the station. When Beryl grew up and left home she and Una would write letters to each other every day so that there was always something in the mailbag for Una to process.Cream painted wooden dolls pram with sprung metal frame, black metal wheels and handle. The title is printed in yellow decorative lettering at the top of the front cover with a brown illustration of a man hunting with a rifle and dogs. The red cover cannot be seen as it under the brown paper, but under a small tear at the top left side a black lined illustration of a woman and children singing can be seen.
