Graeme Shearer is a former Secretary of Ballarat Trades Hall. He retired after 25 years of service in 2009. Bernie Constable is General Secretary of the Shearers and Rural Workers' Union and is currently a delegate on the Ballarat Regional Trades and Labour Council Inc. Norm Borchers was a long-term trade unionist (Amalgamated Engineering Union and the Australian Railways Union) and ALP member; he lived and worked in Ballarat. Norm was active in workplace disputes during the ALP split in 1955.
