Made by Bob Quincey. The first sign of the Southern Sherbrooke Historical Society after their move to Belgrave Heights in the 1990's.Two pieces of wood. One has the words "Southern Sherbrooke" written in black marker ink. The other says "Historical Society" in yellow paint. One sign says "Southern Sherbrooke" and the other "Historical Society".

The Original St Martins Anglican Church and Hall, Belgrave South and Belgrave Heights are two buildings originally part of the Anglican Diocese of Belgrave but now under the care of the Southern Sherbrooke Historical Society and utilised as their premises.

Bought by Susan Heywood-Downard in the 1960's and used to make nut loafs for decades. Donated to Southern Sherbrooke Historical Society.Cylindrical tin made from aluminum. Used for cooking nut loaf. Made up of 2 lids and circular rolled central piece. Hole on one lid to let steam out.'Nut Loaf 170 m/m X 80 m/m' and 'Willow Australia' on one lid. 'Nut loaf tin' and 'Made in Australia' on other lid.

Six colour photos showing the former St Martins Anglican Church & Hall prior to relocation in July 1995 from Belgrave South School, where they had been use as part of the school's Out Of School Hours Program to Belgrave Heights where they became the premises of Southern Sherbrooke Historical Society. The school site was their original position.

Belonged to Elizabeth Downard after she was married (circa early 1940's). Was used by her until the 1990's. Used at Eliot's Bakery in Ena Rd around the 1950's, where the Police Station is now located. Was found when Police Station was constructed. Donated to Southern Sherbrooke Historical Society by Susan Heywood-Downard. Formed part of kitchen equipment for her mother Elizabeth Cox after marriage in 1937. Was used to encourage daughters to eat gelatine based desserts when they were children.3 individual smaller moulds and one larger star-shaped mould. All made of aluminum. Used to hold jelly-based desserts whilst they set.cooking

Diary was owned by Evelyn White and was found in the estate of Neil Russell. It was donated to Museum Victoria in 2006 by Neil's son, Barry. MV passed on the diary to Southern Sherbrooke Historical Society who kept it after ascertaining that Healesville Historical Society didn't want it.A leatherbound diary with closing flap and press stud closure, and an expanding pocket at the front. There is a pencil holder. The first 254 pages have been torn out. Pages 255 to 318 have printed information of benefit to GPs. The remaining pages, 1-150, are a diary plus engagements list. There are pencil scribble marks on some pages. Handwritten lists of women patients and dates, presumably when women gave birth. Also lists of patients and death dates. 'Healesville' is mentioned alongside some names.

Set of eight colour photos showing the interior of the Original St Martins Church Hall after being moved to Belgrave Heights and renovated by the Shire of Yarra Ranges to become the premises of Southern Sherbrooke Historical Society. Looking through the open door across the new decking, the Original St Martins Church can be seen in its new location. Both buildings are owned and operated by the historical society.

The buildings are probably rare remnant examples of their type in the local area and as such are significant to the settlement of Menzies Creek. The dwelling is significant as a longstanding marker of the Madigan family who were original settlers in the area. Its retention in its site close to the road boundary expresses and maintains a connection with early settlement and rural lifestyles in Menzies Creek over the last century. The old shed is of interest as a local example of bush construction, particularly in context with the cottage and farm environs. Without the life of the farm and other elements presumed now gone, its value is lessened.Folder containing information pertaining to the history of Madigan Cottage, Menzies Creek.
