Plastic and sticky tape covered journal. Cover of journal is dark blue with gold and white logo and writing. Journal held together with staples and plastic twine threaded through middle. There is much sticky tape used on front and back covers. Inside front cover are two added photographs, one of a man, other of a woman. Captions name them as: Dr J[?] W Springthorpe and Miss L. Crocker. The main treaty, the "Melbourne Deed", was for 500,000 acres and covered not only land in the Melbourne Area but also that stretched along the western arm of Port Phillip Bay to include the present city of Geelong. The "Geelong Deed" of 100,000 acres skirted Geelong to the south as far as the south coast of Victoria and included the Bellarine Peninsula which was then known as Indented Head.
