David Baird (sr) was elected as a member of council in1928 until 1960. He served four terms as Shire President,1931-32,1940-41,1946-47,and 1956-57.This photo which forms part of a collection of photos was taken to commemorate the 1954 visit of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11. and was presented by the Shire President G. A. Fraser, to mark the occaision.
