Historical information

The kerosene lamp was one of the most common oil lamps used and was manufactured until the 1980s. This lamp appears to be a modern reproduction of an earlier optional wall-mounted kerosene lamp.

Significance

The lamp has been produced as an example of a 19th and early 20th-century marine kerosene navigation lamp.
