Historical information
Councilor Alexander Nicholson was elected to council in1863 serving until1868. He was appointed President in1864-65 of which he only served part,(Conucilor J.Laidlaw serving the remainder) and 1865-66.

Photo of Alexander Nicholson is sepia in colour and is in a dark brown moulded frame, inner edge is a lighter brown and mount is dark brown with lightefr brown surounding the oval photo.
