The Ballarat Base Hospital trained nurses for 100 years. Today Ballarat nurses train at the Univesity of Ballarat or ACU (Aquinas campus). Matron M.S. Ogden (Shirley Falkinder) became president of the Ballarat College of Advanced Education.
