Spurs worn by Pte. Edward (Joe) Coughlan 17879 during World war one. Joe was a member of the 4th Light Horse. serving in Egypt with 4th Light Horse Field Ambulance and returned to Australia after serving 1060 days overseas in the troop ship Essex.

Significance

This item is significant because Spurs have near original condition leather, and use the disk spur. Useage ceased in 1918.

Pair of silver disk spurs with brown leather arch and instep straps .
