Historical information

Personal issue equipment during World War 2 and Vietnam War eras. It did not purify water but stopped one from drinking mud. The filtered water was run in to a water bottle containing sterilizing tablets.

Physical description

Light green cotton bag. Fitted with brass eyelets in top corner for use as hanging point.
