Julia Thomas was daughter of George and Granny Thomas much respected Aboriginal couple of Newmerella. George was a stockman for Jas Stirling. Julia married Henry Eaton, road construction at Gilbert's Gulch.

This item is an example of a handcrafted item and reflects the needlework skills of women in the first half of the 20th century.
