Used as advertising for David Jones centenary (1838-1938).
Physical description
A small spoon in electroplated silver with a circular bowl and flat handle terminating in a flat finial in the form of a stylised covered cup (trophy). The bottom part of the trophy is embraced by a scroll with the inscription '1838 CENTENARY 1938', the reeded body of the cup features overlapping initials 'DJ' in the centre and the number '100' applied just below the domed cover with a ball finial.
Inscriptions & markings
The back of stem is stamped with two marks 'EPNS' and 'ENGLAND' in an oval.
