This small child's calico tunic with box-pleats and eyelet cotton trim was worn by a child of an early settlers family of Moorabbin

Significance

Early settlers and market gardeners established their families in Moorabbin Shire and this item shows the skill and craftsmanship of the women of these families. The Blackburn family were early settlers in Moorabbin Shire
