This sign was hung on the wire fence fronting Johnston Street, Collingwood to announce the prospective opening of the Collingwood Technical School.

Significance

This is one of the most significant items in the collection. It records the opening or very start of the Collingwood Technical School.

Physical description

Handwritten sign in a frame, announcing the prospective opening of The Collingwood Technical School on 15th July 1912. There is a small typwritten note on the sign 'This Notice was hung on the wire fence / fronting Johnston St.'
