Wooden Batons

Historical information

These wooden batons were used by a local girls gymnastic group in the Korumburra area in the early 1900's. Used in a similar fashion to a band leaders baton, they were twirled in each hand and in unison usually to music.

Physical description

3062.2 - Two turned wooden batons, teardrop shape with long handles finished with a balled end. Two grooved patterns in the centre of the teardrop.
